Terriers defeat Blake 36-0

Players clear off the field just before kickoff

In their first away game of the season, the Terriers defeated Blake 36-0.

At the end of the first quarter, a touchdown by Demarion Hopkins and an extra point kick brought the score to 13-0 and Blake was unable to catch up throughout the rest of the game.

The game went into half time with a score of 22-0 after a field goal kick by Zachary Long.

The game ended with a fumble caught by the Terriers that was ran into the end zone for a touchdown putting Hillsborough at a 2-1 record in the season.

In the first full game without quarterback Caleb Pierce, who was injured in last week’s game, the team worked together to overcome that loss and pull through with another win.

“I’m real confident in them,” Pierce said. “I’m glad they got the win without me, but I’m excited to get back on the field.”
