Within the last quarter of the game East Lake is able to gain a 2 point safety from the Terriers because of a fumbled snap, and score another touchdown to change the score to 29-23.

“I could’ve kept my team focused during halftime, and kept them in the game,” Johnson said regarding the points scored on them in the second half.

For quarterback Charlie Dean, this is his first game at Hillsborough since he transferred from Plant.

“I could’ve been a better leader and tried to get the team together so we didn’t have to have it end like that,” says Dean.

Even with East Lake coming back the Terriers finish the game with a 6 point lead over East Lake, with the final score at 29-23.

The next game, which is the first official game of the season, is at Plant High School at 7 p.m on Friday, Aug., 24.
