Terriers beat Riverview in first game of season

Hillsborough boys varsity basketball opened the season with a win, beating Riverview 68-24.
Tyriq James, 20, scored the first basket in the game, earning Hillsborough three points.
With Terriers leading 5-2, Riverview called the game’s first timeout with 1:51 left in the first quarter. Quickly after the timeout, James was able to shoot two three-pointers and increase Hillsborough’s points by six.
Xavion Lockwood, 25, received the first free throw shot in the game, and successfully made both baskets.
Myles Cowart, 24, was next to receive a total of three free throw shots.
With a lead of 14 points, Terriers finished first quarter with 18-4.
Second quarter Christian DeLeon, 11, Cowart and Cantia Rahming, 34, managed to score another 19 points, with multiple lay-ups and three-pointers, going into halftime with 37-14.
Following half time, Warren Mclymont, 14, was a starter and shot two successful free throws.
Third quarter finished with Terriers still leading 61-19.
Cowart and Lockwood scored once each finishing the game with Hillsborough wining 68-24.
