Hillsborough football team defeats Jefferson, 35-28

After solidifying its undefeated title, the team celebrates.

A year removed from a losing season, the Hillsborough Terriers guaranteed a winning one with a 35-28 victory on Friday at Jefferson. The Terriers, now 6-0, remain undefeated.

Dre’quan McCullough ran the first touchdown of the night. During its possession, Jefferson scored, ending the first quarter 7-6, Jefferson.

In the second quarter, quarterback Tyler Thomas ran for a touchdown himself, bringing the score to 12-7. Duran Bell and Nate Dantley both run for two separate touchdowns, ending the first half with the Terriers up 28-21.

After a third down conversion with a pass to no. 6 Cj Williams, Russell Booth ran for the final touchdown of the night, bringing the final score to 35-28.

While the team rejoiced over the win, many are looking forward to the rest of the season.

“I’m not worried about 6 and 0, I’m worried about 7 and 0,” said senior Spencer Gennille


Senior night is Friday, Oct. 14 against Blake.
