Terriers dominate Chamberlain 38-0 at Homecoming game

Hillsborough maintained its undefeated record with a 38-0 victory over Chamberlain in the Homecoming game.

Led by touchdowns from Duran Bell, Caleb Youngblood and Zach Carter, the Terriers managed to crush the Chiefs. The Terriers have only allowed 16 points all season and are now 5-0.

While the Terriers homecoming game showed impressive offensive, it also boasted a lively student section as students looked forward to Homecoming, even despite heavy rains.

“This is the most people I think I’ve ever seen at a game, ” said senior Jarrod Cande.

“The rain’s no bother,” said junior Emanuel Perez. “We’re still out here, and we’re still winning.”

According to the students , the turnout and liveliness of the crowd peaked tonight for Homecoming.

“There is definitely more spirit and more hype than the other games,” said freshman Michelle Pagan-Llanl. “[Tonight] is a lot more fun.”

Hillsborough’s spirit could be due to many students finding ways to pump up the crowd. “We’re putting powder in the air, confetti everywhere,” said sophomore William Andrews, who prepared by bringing baby powder to the game.

Next up for the Terriers: Oct. 7 at Jefferson followed by senior night Oct. 14 against Blake.
