Girls soccer wins 6-0 against Jefferson

The girls soccer team won its game 6-0 on Thursday against Jefferson.

In the first half of the game sophomore Sophia Leon scored the teams first two goals.

Senior captain Cassandra Cooper scored the third goal in the game, followed by Leon scoring twice more.

The score at the half was 5-0.

After half time, the Lady Terriers scored once more goal, finishing the game with a score of 6-0.

“The starters did a very good job,” head coach Ted Pamplona said.

Although, even dispite the win, Pamplona did find faults in how the team played.

“We were trying to score too many goals,” Pamplona said. “We kept attacking but everyone was shooting too far out.”

The next soccer games, for both the girl’s and boy’s teams, are at Leto High School this Friday. The boy’s game begins at 6 p.m. and the girl’s game starts at 8 p.m..
