Every member of the boy’s swim team swam their best personal times at the meet on Thursday, Sept. 6, leaving Hillsborough with the winning score of 118-58 against Strawberry Crest.
“Tonight was amazing. All over, everyone was dropping time and going faster; breaking all their best times,” swim captain Andy Paloumpis said.
Key players of the meet consisted of Jules Hurley, Garrett Reidy, Mark Leslie and Andy Paloumpis. All of these boys really helped raise Hillsborough’s overall score.
This victory has led to the belief that Hillsborough will have quite a successful year. Captains believe they are already much better than last year and possibly better than the year before.
“It was a great way to start off senior year. I was really nervous that we were going to get crushed, but it was a whole new tide. I’m confident that I will be leaving the team in better shape than it started,” Paloumpis said.
The next meet is City Relays Saturday, Sept. 8, followed by a home meet against Jefferson Tuesday, Sept. 11.
