Hillsborough County Schools shuts down school for Irma

UPDATE: School will now be closed through Monday, Sept. 18.

Due to Hurricane Irma, the Hillsborough County Public School system made the decision to cancel school Thursday, Sept. 7, and Friday, Sept. 8. School was canceled to give evacuees shelter.

As of now, school for the following week will continue as normal. School athletic events have been cancelled due to school closings and will be rescheduled after Hurricane Irma. Rescheduled game dates are to be determined.
