With Friday night lights slowly starting to heat up before the homecoming game again Chamberlain High School, Kieonna Lane, assistant principal for student affairs, shed some light on some friendly competition between her and her family. Her daughter is the co-captain of the Chamberlain cheerleading squad and her husband a Chamberlain football coach. She has been struggling between who to cheer for during the big homecoming game.

Lane and her husband of eleven years started their relationship back in Indiana during college. They now have two daughters; one enrolled in Chamberlain and the other a fourth grader. At one point before she became an administrator, she and her husband worked together at Jefferson High School.  But then Lane interviewed for an assistant principal of student affairs position at Hillsborough over the summer and got the job.

As a part of the Hillsborough administration team, Lane believes she is able to connect with students.

“I love being able to have a positive impact on people’s lives on a daily basis,” she said.

She also likes to witness students grow and become amazing people. Lane talked about how awesome it is to be at Hillsborough and how she feels she is already a part of the Terrier family.

Despite who wins the homecoming game, Lane will come out a winner because either way her family is winning. She just doesn’t know if it’s going to be the Terrier family or the Lane family.
