IB seniors wear senior-themed shirts for the first day of school

With many seniors creating special themes for their t-shirts such as the "Friends" logo, hundreds of photos were taken to celebrate their last-first day of high school.

Amber Lo was 11 when she started band for the first time. Now, the Senior co-conducts The Big Red Band after three years of looking up to the previous drum majors. “I really looked up to my own drum majors at Hillsborough,” she said. “I just thought they were the coolest most knowledgeable people.” This year, it’s her turn to inspire younger band members. She hopes her position allows her to influence the culture of the school. “That has always been my number one goal, for us to be the same band more or less for generations to come,” she said. #humansofhhs #us #hhssports

Sophomore Hana Galvin has been painting since she was 10-years-old. Primarily working with acrylic paint, self-taught artist Galvin enjoys art because it gives her a creative outlet. “I love to work with nude shades and tones in my paintings,” she said. #30dayspubinsta #humansofhhs
